The existing townhouse has steep rooflines offering large attic spaces. As one of only two units of its type, this one did not have the additional attic build-out from the original development. The goal here is to minimize impact to the existing structure and maximize the footprint of the attic build-out for an additional office space and small reading nook. Through the use of an operable skylight, ample light will be added as well as provide fresh air.
