Exciting new build project in SE Portland (Woodstock Neighborhood). The design process started as the City of Portland was adopting new zoning guidelines with stricter limitations to what could be built and size. In order to maximize space and provide flexible options, we worked through the limits and provided a livable modern home with a garage and detached ADU. The existing home was significantly damaged due to a fire, so we utilized the existing basement footprint to provide additional living space without impacting the Floor Area Ratio rules. The detached ADU adds additional living units within the neighborhood and is a fully functional space with separate bedroom, storage loft and laundry!
